A record-breaking anechoic test chamber
This huge anechoic chamber has a 10m test distance, making it one of the largest in our 40-year history. It was installed by our RFT-Systems representatives in Asia. Their General Manager, Luo Yuxiang, gladly shares the chamber’s specifications.

This is a man who loves the impossible. After seven years, we welcome Martijn Fokker back to the Comtest family. “I have been working at Comtest for 16 years and thought it was time for something different, but there’s something about these chamber projects that kept me coming back,” says Martijn.
Martijn has always been an out-of-the-box professional. “At Comtest, there is an R&D department that creates the most advanced solutions for our clients’ challenges. My mission is to realise whatever they come up with, and I love it! It could be anything from tailor-made doors to new types of stirrers. For example, I designed a stirrer that can handle a higher rotation speed than a regular one and a vertical sliding door with a double row of fingerstocks.”
Martijn is involved in one of our TEMPEST shielding projects, a growing market with significant potential: “Doors for TEMPEST-shielded rooms require higher standards than those for EMC or RF testing chambers, such as soundproofing and the very high operating frequency. Developments in global politics are driving new solutions, and that’s what keeps me sharp. After leaving Comtest, I worked in the maritime sector. On my return, I bring new industry knowledge to Comtest, and, of course, a lot of out-of-the-box creativity.”
