Martijn Fokker rejoins our design department
This is a man who loves the impossible. After seven years, we welcome Martijn Fokker back to the Comtest family. “I have been working at Comtest for 16 years and thought it was time for something different, but there’s something about these chamber projects that kept me coming back,” says Martijn.

The Comtest Growth & Bloom Competition was a great success! At the end of last year, we sent over 300 flower bulbs to clients and interested followers on our LinkedIn page, asking them to send us photos of their flowers once they had bloomed.
“This year we incorporated the 40th anniversary of comtest into the competition,” explains Head of the Jury, Vincent van de Vrie: “The theme was ‘you’re never too old to bloom’, and we thanked our clients and suppliers for the milestones we achieved thanks to them. We then asked everyone to view the flower as a symbol of the growth we have achieved and to wait for it to bloom for them. And then we asked them to enter the competition, of course!”
And did the flowers bloom well?
Vincent: “Yes, they did. We received many photos, a collage, a video, and numerous personal messages. One flower was photographed in the Swedish snow in front of the Teleborg Slott fairytale castle. Another contestant teamed up with his wife to support the flower with extra ‘light, sun and love’. A team in Belgium managed to make it bloom twice, while another had seven flowers!”
And who is this year’s winner?
Vincent: “As last year, we formed a jury for the contest and selected a top three, with this year’s first prize going to Emanuela Bientinesi from Teslab for her photo of a flower in a test room. But don’t worry if you didn’t win or couldn’t participate; we will launch the next edition of our contest at the end of this year.”
If you can’t wait to take part in this year’s competition, send a request to Vincent van de Vrie to join, and he will add you to our mailing list.
