This is a man who loves the impossible. After seven years, we welcome Martijn Fokker back to the Comtest family. “I have been working at Comtest for 16 years and thought it was time for something different, but there’s something about these chamber projects that kept me coming back,” says Martijn.
This huge anechoic chamber has a 10m test distance, making it one of the largest in our 40-year history. It was installed by our RFT-Systems representatives in Asia. Their General Manager, Luo Yuxiang, gladly shares the chamber’s specifications.

This is our colleague Arjan Nederstigt standing inside a 4 x 4m door frame while holding one of the smallest door frames we have ever produced. Arjan: “Perhaps this offers you an impression of the variety of work in our workshop.”
Arjan has worked at Comtest Engineering for over twelve years and has witnessed many test chamber doors come and go. Arjan: “The largest we manufactured was a 10 x 10m double horizontal leaf door for an EMC chamber in 2021. The frame I’m standing in, in the photo, is slightly smaller. These large frames were challenging to create because we didn’t have welding tables large enough. However, in the new situation, as you can see in the photo, we can utilise four different welding tables to support and secure the corners of the frame.”
And what about the door you are holding in your hands? Arjan”.  “That is actually not a real door but a small hatch. These are less than 30 x 40cm and I think those are the smallest we produce and for us a lot easier to produce.”
